Recently, there was a brouhaha in the news over hotels and motels raising their rates for a special auto racing event in Ohio. In a subsequent Press Release, a local motel owner defended the practice in a very eloquent manner but I am sure there are many who think a hotel that normally charges $100 for a room should not be able to raise the price to $180 when they become fully booked. I'll give you a few reasons why this happens.
